Halite

Himalayan salt is rock salt (halite) mined in Pakistan, south of the Himalayan mountain range. In addition to cooking, food presentation, and spa treatments, it is also used for decorative purposes.

For example, salt lamps, tealights or candle holders, diffusers, raw chunks, bowls, and much more.

The salt gains a pink/orange/gray hue when it contains traces of minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, chromium, magnesium, and sulfate.
